The Communication and Information Division of the Timor-Leste National Commission for UNESCO (TLNCU) held a seminar on Promoting and Safeguarding Documentary World Heritage in the municipality of Manufahi, which was held for a whole day to report on the activities of Memory of the World.
In this seminar itself to share information about the safeguarding of World Heritage Documentary to register in the Memory of the World, this information is very important for communities that lack information so that they can know how to preserve the ancient objects. This is done for digitization so that it can be saved from any disaster and will become a memory for new generations to access and see. In addition to the seminar, there is also presented data memory of the world that during this technical team was collected in the municipality of Manufahi. The program to safeguard the World Documentary Heritage is a program of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture (MESSK) through the service of the Timor-Leste National Commission for UNESCO (TLNCU).
The objective of this seminar is to share information with the communities about promoting and safeguarding documentary world heritage to register in the World Memory, transfer to digitize these ancient objects, and save all documents from damage. This activity was attended by the community, students, elderly or traditional leaders, and local authorities.
