The Timor-Leste National Commission for UNESCO (TLNCU) coordinated with Smile Group Yogyakarta Indonesia to provide training for women’s leadership career management and computer capacity in rural areas for two (2) days at Jell Villa Dili.
Smile Group Yogyakarta Indonesia is a private institution that has conducted many trainings for students and employees at national and international levels.
Training via online Zoom Meeting with its main topic (Women Empowerment in Leadership Management and ICT Skills in Rural Area) given by the Smile Group Team, and the training itself was led by the teacher of Mr. Ermawan Susanto, Mr. Huda, Mrs. Novi, and teams from Smile Group Yogyakarta Indonesia.
Mr. Francisco Barreto, Interim Executive Secretary (TLNCU), said he would like to thank Smile Group for giving training for the second time and this year with a different topic and training for today to increase leadership management capacity for women in rural areas in Timor-Leste to lead and increase computer capacity in women’s careers. Because of this, we get support from UNESCO Paris to help and help conduct training for women leaders for the future. Women will lead well for Timor-Leste. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to UNESCO Paris for helping support this activity and to Smile Group Yogyakarta Indonesia for providing this training.
The objective of this training is to increase knowledge about women’s leadership management and computer capacity for rural women to work in the field, and in the future, women will lead well in Timor Leste.
Participating in this training were the Interim Executive Secretary (TLNCU), Mr. Francisco Barreto, Director of Smile Group Yogyakarta Indonesia, Mr. Rahman Wahyu Widadi, and participants from 5 municipalities such as Dili, Lospalos, Viqueque, Bobonaro, and Covalima.
