Dili-Hera, 14-18 July 2025 – UNESCO Timor-Leste National Commission (TLNCU), in collaboration with UNESCO Jakarta and the Faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology (FECT) at UNTL Hera, conducted a training activity on the visUS method (Visual Inspection for the Definition of Security Strategy).
This initiative, funded by the UNESCO Participation Program (PP), serves as a pilot project with the objective of conducting a rapid and scientifically based safety assessment of school infrastructure in Timor-Leste. The project will evaluate 50 schools in the municipalities of Dili and Aileu.
TLNCU is also working with the University of Udine (Italy), which will support the development of Timor-Leste’s VISUS digital platform, provide online academic training, conduct data analysis, and prepare individual VISUS reports for each evaluated school.
