National Workshop of Man and Biosphere (MAB) in Timor-Leste Gathering biodiversity data from Marine Protected Areas that as part of the Nino Konis Santana National Park

Dili, 15 July 2025 – The National Commission of Timor-Leste for UNESCO (TLNCU), in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Forestry, proudly hosted a 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 (𝗠𝗔𝗕) 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 in Timor-Leste.

This important initiative aims to enhance 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in the 𝘀𝗲𝗮 (𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮) 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸— a vital step toward safeguarding our natural heritage and promoting sustainable development in harmony with nature.
