Dili, 23 September 2025 – The National Commission for Timor-Leste for UNESCO (TLNCU), in collaboration with the Secretariat of State for Arts and Culture (SEAK) and the National Institute of Statistics of Timor-Leste, I.P. The Initiative Meeting under the theme “Cultural System and creative cultural industry mapping” was successfully held at the Chega National Centre (CNC).
This workshop is an important step in mapping and recording Timor-Leste’s cultural and creative industry into a national database. This initiative ensures stronger recognition, support and promotion of the sector and also shows its contribution to national development.
This milestone strengthens the important role of Timor-Leste’s cultural and creative industry in forming identity, driving innovation, and building sustainable growth for the future.
