Dili, 7 May 2026, Komisaun Nasionรกl Timor-Leste ba UNESCO together with Sekretaria Estadu ba Arte no Kultura held a meeting with the Working Team for the Tentative List Nomination of World Heritage sites to prepare and coordinate important activities related to the conservation of Timor-Lesteโs national cultural heritage. ๐น๐ฑ
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss and organize preparations for the Capacity Building Workshop on World Cultural Heritage nomination, which will be held in June this year.
The workshop is expected to strengthen technical capacity and enhance the knowledge of relevant stakeholders regarding the World Heritage nomination process, while also reinforcing Timor-Lesteโs efforts to protect and promote its national cultural heritage at the international level.
Through collaboration between government institutions and relevant partners, this initiative is expected to contribute to preserving Timor-Lesteโs cultural identity and historical values for present and future generations.
