Liquiça 19 January 2023 During the months of construction of the laboratory of science and mathematics in ESGP Hu Iso Lara Iso de Liquiça and finally having its result to build the Knua Sentrál for the Practice of Science and Mathematics with its spacious classroom and facilities complete with materials for science and mathematics practice to facilitate students to learn to practice science and mathematics.
The Timor-Leste National Commission for UNESCO (TLNCU) from the Science team working together with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MEJD) held the inauguration of the Science and Mathematics laboratory at ESGP Hu Iso Lara Iso de Liquiça and also handed over the project to MEJD. The inauguration was recognized by the signing of the plaque by the Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports MEJD. According to information, 9 laboratories established are EBC. Venâncio Ferraz School Ainaro, EBC 03 Vila-Nova Baucau, EBC 01 Maliana Bobonaro, EBC Ladi Covalima, ESGP Nino Koni Santana Lautem, ESGP Hu Iso Lara Iso de Liquiça, EBC Vasco da Gama Manatuto, EBC Babulo Manufahi, and EBC Cabira Oan Viqueque. The Knua Sentrál for the Practice of Science and Mathematics was established for the 2nd cycle of Basic Education in Timor-Leste to develop the education sector in the area of science and mathematics. The laboratory received maximum support from UNESCO Jakarta and the People of Japan through the Government of Japan.
