The cultural team of the Timor-Leste National Commission for UNESCO held a meeting with Government institutions such as seac (Secretary of State for Arts and culture) and MCIE (Ministry of Commerce Industry and Environment) hating views the process of registration of tais for UNESCO as the world cultural heritage.

The objective of the meeting was to discuss the ways to facilitate the registration of tais for UNESCO as world cultural heritage, among other things, to strengthen the coordination line between line Ministries such as seac (Secretary of State for Art and culture), MCIA (Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Environment) including indirect bodies such as TLNCU that see the registration work improved.

The coordination meeting was attended by the General Director of seac, the National Director of cultural heritage SEAC, the Director-General of MCIE, TLNCU and the Chief of staff of SEAC.

Nb: please write down little information about UNESCO’s 2003 Convention on preserving and safeguarding the intangible cultural heritage, what processes do each country need to have to register the intangible heritage and how to register. Their low level of activities which do not influence their Understanding of the importance of preserving and safeguarding intangible cultural heritage.
