The National Commission of Timor-Leste for UNESCO (TLNCU), working together with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MEJD), held the inauguration for the 6th time at the Community Learning Center (SKA) Haburas Uatucarbau.
Community Learning Center (SKA) Haburas Uatucarbau as well as others (SKA) whose construction has 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, this can facilitate students and teachers doing their activities. In the inauguration ceremony, a short speech by Vice-Minister (MEJD) Mr. António Guterres said he was very pleased with (TLNCU) efforts to finalize this center, and also he said about the education sector when it comes to building good education, not only see the formal education sector that starts from pre-school to higher education level but also require education from non-formal important all, today the inauguration of the center in uatucarbau is the first time expect that other posts will also be (SKA). He asked the community in uatucarbau to take care and manage the Community Learning Center (SKA) Haburas uatucarbau and structure (SKA) with the team to work well.
Participate in the activity Vice-Minister (MEJD), Executive Secretary (TLNCU), Director General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Culture (MESSK), Uatucarbau Post Administrator, Uatucarbau Police Commander, parish priest, local authorities, Chief villages, and communities. The activity was supported by the National Commission Korea for UNESCO (NCKU) through the Bridge TL project 2020.
The objective of the inauguration of the Community Learning Center (SKA) Haburas Uatucarbau is so that the center can run with learning activities and facilitate young and old people who do not finish school, for those who do not know how to read and write to learn better about literacy, and for young people who want to learn in the area of language, and according to the plan in the future will have the opportunity to get a diploma in this formal school.
